Aren’t insurance cards the best way to prove insurance? If not, then why do we gotta carry them around & make sure they’re up to date?!?
I KNOW. This is the same lady that when we were buying my car told me I had to call the Oklahoma DMV myself about an issue she thought was happening. I think it was something like having my Jeep insured through NY but with Oklahoma plates. But we ended up not being able to get NY plates because my title was refurbished? So, I would have had to go through the NY process and pay like over a hundred dollars to get everything done. I ended up calling the local Salvage yard and selling it.
It was a mess. She panicked me when there was no reason to saying I would get fined such and such amount for every day it wasn’t insured?
But.. it ended up ok and no fines and I got my NY plates for my new car thanks to the car dealership salesperson!
So, hopefully I can get my husband to go with me tomorrow because I don’t want to do it alone and end up crying or something. :P
Ugh.
I’m cancelling my State Farm auto insurance and it’s getting to be ridiculous. The lady was all, “Well, if you’re SURE you’re fully covered. And insurance cards aren’t the best to use as proof.”
Uh, the Geico lady said that all I needed was the insurance ID cards. So….suck it.
